Spanish Study Abroad

The following is a list of study abroad opportunities or other experiences abroad. Programs have varying minimum age requirements for children to participate. Find out if the program you are interested in is appropriate for your children. Some programs provide childcare for children who are too young to participate. The information for the program descriptions below was gathered from the program websites but offerings could change. Confirm program offerings before booking. This is a list of family study abroad programs that are available but is by no means an endorsement of these programs. Always check out the Department of State warnings before traveling abroad.

Baja California Language College offers small group or private Spanish classes in Ensenada, Mexico. Stay with a family or in a hotel, RV park, marina (if arriving by boat) or vacation rental. Ensenada is driving distance from some southern U.S. cities (saving you airfare).

Centro Linguistico Conserva

Centro Linguistico Conserva in Santa Ana, Costa Rica offers a family study abroad program at its large six-acre campus. Stay with a local family or in a lodge on campus. The campus also includes a swimming pool, a cafeteria, a basketball hoop, a paddle tennis court, a ping pong table, a TV lounge, educational walking trails, a mock travel agency, a convenience store and an infirmary.
